Where these numbers come from

This page is a status note, not a rate table. We were unable to verify current and correct parking rates for San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The official airport parking page did not open from our research tools on the check date, and the third-party sites we could read quoted different daily prices. A number that might be wrong is worse than no number, so we are not publishing one.

Why does that matter? Airport parking prices move often. Garages can change a daily rate by a few dollars a year, and long-term lots can add fees on peak travel dates. A price copied from an old guide can leave you short at the exit gate. Every other airport page on this site shows a dated, sourced figure, and this one will do the same once we can confirm it.

You can still plan the trip. Use the airport parking on-site vs off-site calculator and type in the daily rate you find on the official page. The math is the same for any airport: daily rate times days, plus any shuttle or ride cost. For example, a garage at $40 a day for 7 days is 7 x $40 = $280, and an off-site lot at $20 a day for the same week is $140 plus a shuttle you may not need to pay for.

Three steps get you a reliable SFO number. First, open the official airport parking page and read the rate for the exact lot you want. Second, check whether a prepaid or online booking rate exists, since some airports discount reserved spots. Third, ask any off-airport lot for a written total that includes taxes and fees. Keep the screenshot or confirmation in case the exit price differs.

If you want to compare with other major airports in the meantime, see Los Angeles, Seattle and San Jose, which have dated and sourced rates. San Jose and Oakland are sometimes cheaper starting points for Bay Area trips, but check the drive time and your airline schedule first. This page will be updated when we can confirm current SFO figures.
