Where these numbers come from

Logan has fewer choices than a sprawling airport like Houston, and the price ladder is easy to read. Central Parking is the main garage between Terminals B and C, connected to all four terminals by bridges on Level 4. It caps at $46 a day for stays of seven to 24 hours. The Economy garage caps at $37 and relies on a free shuttle. The one figure we could confirm directly on Massport's reservation site is the $29 per day price for a limited number of reserved spaces, which also shows that advance booking is the cheapest on-airport route.

Do the arithmetic before you choose. A week in Central Parking is 7 x $46 = $322. The same week in Economy is 7 x $37 = $259, saving $63. A reserved Central space at $29 per day is 7 x $29 = $203, saving $119 against walk-up Central. A 14-day trip is $644, $518 or $406. The reserved price applies to limited spaces, so if they are sold out you fall back to the walk-up rate.

Economy sits on the airport but is not walkable. The shuttle runs every 15 to 20 minutes, so a typical round trip adds 20 to 30 minutes of waiting. On a 6 a.m. departure or a late-night arrival in winter, that can matter more than $9 a day. Central Parking also lets you return to a covered garage, which is useful in New England weather.

Our Central and Economy figures come from two parking guides that agree with each other, because Massport's own rate pages did not load for us. Treat them as very likely but confirm the current price on Massport's site before a peak trip. Also note that the terminal garages and the Logan Express suburban lots have their own prices, which we did not verify, and are not included here.

Reservations are the lever. Guides advise booking at least a week ahead, more at holidays, and Massport says you can change a booking up to an hour before entry. Compare a booking against nearby private lots using the airport parking on-site vs off-site calculator. Boston is also a cruise port, so the Boston cruise terminal page covers parking for sailings. For another Northeast airport with much higher drive-up rates, see LaGuardia.
