Where these numbers come from

O'Hare has three tiers. Terminal Lots A, B, C and D are closest, Economy Lot F is in the covered Multi-Modal Facility, and Economy Lots G and H are open-air lots reached by shuttle. Prices on the airport's rate sheet include taxes. The rate sheet is dated February 1, 2025, and the airport noted higher prices for longer stays in terminal and economy lots compared with before that date.

Terminal Lots A to D start at $3 for the first hour, $6 for the second, $10 for the third and $14 for the fourth. Four to eight hours costs $36, and eight to 24 hours costs $43. The Lot A hourly option goes to $79 for 8 to 24 hours, and the premier version is $63. A seven-day trip in Lots A to D is 7 x $43 = $301, and the same week in hourly Lot A is 7 x $79 = $553.

Lot F is a covered facility on floors 4 and 5 of the Multi-Modal Facility at 10255 W. Zemke Blvd. It has the same $3, $6, $10 and $14 steps for the first four hours, then a flat $30 for 4 to 24 hours. A week costs 7 x $30 = $210 and two weeks cost $420. It has 24 Level II electric vehicle charging stations on Level 4, and the clearance is 8 feet 4 inches. The Airport Transit System connects it to all terminals at no extra charge.

Lots G and H are the bargain. They charge $3 for the first hour and a flat $16 for 1 to 24 hours. That makes a week 7 x $16 = $112 and two weeks $224. Compared with Lots A to D, a week in G or H saves $301 - $112 = $189. Buses run to the Multi-Modal Facility every 5 to 10 minutes around the clock, and from there the transit system carries you to the terminal.

Think about the extra time. The economy lots add a bus ride and a train ride, so budget well over the time the terminal garages take. If you have a 6 a.m. flight and a 7-day trip, the $189 savings may be worth it. If a rideshare round trip in your app is about $100 (an example figure), a 4-day trip in Lots G and H costs only 4 x $16 = $64, well under the fare. Use the airport parking on-site vs off-site calculator to test your numbers.

The airport accepts cash at exit as well as major cards, and its line for stays beyond 30 days is (773) 686-7530. Compare other hubs on the Los Angeles and Dallas/Fort Worth pages.
