Where these numbers come from

DFW sells four paid products: Terminal, Express, Remote and Valet, plus free cell phone lots for pickups. Terminal parking sits next to all five terminals, with garages at Terminals A, C, D and E. Express North is near the north entry and uses shuttles that take about 4 to 5 minutes to each terminal. Remote North and Remote South are the lowest-cost on-airport option and use a non-stop bus to your terminal.

The big news is the change on October 1, 2026. Terminal parking moves from a $32 daily maximum to $37 with a TollTag or $40 by credit card. Express uncovered goes from $18 to $20 or $22. Remote rises only for card users, from $14 to $16, while TollTag users stay at $14. The airport's own pages show both the old and new tables, which is how these numbers were checked.

Take a seven-day trip at the new rates. Terminal with a TollTag costs 7 x $37 = $259, and by card it is 7 x $40 = $280. Express uncovered is 7 x $20 = $140 or 7 x $22 = $154. Remote is 7 x $14 = $98 or 7 x $16 = $112. Choosing Remote instead of Terminal saves $161 with a TollTag, or $168 by card. On a 14-day trip the gap doubles to $322 and $336.

Compare that with the old rates. Seven days in Terminal through September 30 is 7 x $32 = $224, so the increase adds $35 for a TollTag user and $56 for a card user. Remote for seven days was $98 and is now $98 with a TollTag. The airport says prebooked parking can save up to 50 percent off the TollTag rate, so look at the prebook price before you default to drive-up.

Short stays follow a different scale. The Terminal lot charges $9 for the first 8 minutes, then $2 to $3 for up to 2 hours at current rates, then steps up to $10 at 4 hours and $12 at 6 hours before the $32 maximum. Only credit cards and NTTA TollTags are accepted, and cash is not. The maximum stay is 90 days.

For an alternative, think about the trip length. A rideshare round trip that costs, say, $80 in your app is the same as 2 days of Terminal parking at $40. Stay three days or more and Remote at $16 a day (about $48) will usually cost less than both. Run your own numbers in the airport parking on-site vs off-site calculator. Compare with Denver and Chicago O'Hare.
