Where these numbers come from

Midway prices by duration bands rather than a flat hourly rate, and the published schedule runs to 24 hours. In the Terminal Garage daily levels (2 to 6), a stay of up to one hour is $4, then each further hour adds $4 until four hours ($16), then $32 from four to eight hours and $43 from eight to 24 hours. Economy is $4 for up to an hour and $15 for one to 24 hours.

The level you choose matters. The daily levels charge $43 for 8 to 24 hours, but the hourly level 1 of the same garage charges $67 for the same period. That is $24 more for parking on level 1 overnight, which is why the airport sends long stays to levels 2 through 6. Economy, in a garage and a lot about a quarter mile west, is $15.

Worked costs, assuming each 24-hour period bills at the top band: three days costs $45 in Economy, $129 in the daily levels and $201 on level 1. A week costs $105, $301 and $469. Two weeks costs $210, $602 and $938. Economy therefore saves $196 over a week and $392 over two weeks compared with the daily levels. The airport states the schedule by the actual time a vehicle is in the facility, so multi-day totals are an estimate.

For a short errand, bands decide the price. A five-hour stay is $32 in the garage but $15 in Economy, so Economy wins once you pass about three hours. A stay of up to three hours is cheaper in the garage, at $4 to $12. Economy shuttles run every 10 to 15 minutes to each stop, and riders should note their shuttle stop number. Economy garage clearance is 8 feet 2 inches.

The band pricing also makes planning easier on short visits. A 90-minute pickup falls in the 1 to 2 hour band, so it costs $8, while the same visit in Economy costs $15. Between one and three hours the garage saves money; beyond three hours Economy wins. That crossover is worth remembering if you are meeting a delayed flight.

Midway does not offer discounted parking on this page. Extended parking past 30 days needs a call to the garage office. We verified no off-site rate, so none is shown.
