Where these numbers come from

Honolulu keeps parking simple: three structures, the International garage, the Terminal 2 garage and the Terminal 1 garage, all share one price list. There is no cheaper remote or economy lot run by the airport, so the choice is about walking distance, not price. The first 15 minutes cost nothing, which covers most curbside pickups if you park and walk in.

The schedule climbs by the hour and then flattens. A 3.5-hour stay lands in the 3-4 hour band and costs $12. Reach eight hours and the charge becomes the $29 daily rate. For a three-day trip that is 3 x $29 = $87. A seven-day vacation is 7 x $29 = $203, and a two-week stay is 14 x $29 = $406.

These figures follow a scheduled ladder. The state raised the top rate from $25 to $27 in July 2025 and then to $29 in 2026, with one more step to $30 on July 1, 2027, after which the schedule is listed as current through June 2028. A trip that spans the July 2027 date could cost $1 more per day. If you park 10 days starting June 25, 2027, verify which side of that date each day falls on before you budget.

Compare the hour bands before you assume the daily rate applies. Someone dropping a relative for a 5.5-hour layover pays $21, not $29, so a short stay saves $8. The motorcycle rate is much lower at $1 for two hours and $5 at most per day, so a rider parking for a week pays about 7 x $5 = $35.

Compared with other big airports, $29 a day is on the high side, but Honolulu has no shuttle lot to fall back on. Travelers staying a week or more often price a ride to the airport instead. A round trip by ride-hail costs two fares, so run your own numbers in the airport parking on-site vs off-site calculator. The same shared-rate structure also applies no matter which terminal your airline uses, so you can choose the garage closest to your check-in counter without changing the bill.

Mind the 30-day parking limit across all lots. Leaving a car longer than that risks enforcement even if you prepay. For long absences, arrange a drop-off instead. Compare Honolulu with West Coast mainland options such as San Jose or Oakland, where an economy lot cuts the daily price by roughly a third.
