Where these numbers come from

Port Everglades is the Fort Lauderdale cruise port, and it is unusual because the airport is right next door. The port calls itself the only U.S. seaport beside an international airport, and its guide puts Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International just minutes away on U.S. 1. No mileage is given, so we do not show one. The port advises leaving at least 45 minutes between landing and check-in.

Parking is handled in the Heron and Palm garages at the same prices. A standard vehicle pays up to $20 a day and an oversized one pays up to $25. Short stays are billed by the hour, $4 for up to an hour and $8 for up to five hours, with the daily maximum as the ceiling. The clock starts when you pull a ticket at the garage, and the port does not take advance reservations or prepayment.

Because the charge is a daily maximum from the ticket time, the number of days for a week-long cruise can be seven or eight depending on how long you are away. Assume 7 or 8 days at $20, which is $140 to $160. An oversized vehicle costs $175 to $200 over the same span. The exact bill depends on how the garage counts your final partial day, so keep your ticket handy and ask at the exit gate.

The airport link is where this port beats most others. Many travelers fly into FLL, ride a short cab or rideshare to the port, and skip parking altogether. The port does not publish a fare, so we show none. If you plan to drive instead, add the $140 to $160 garage bill to fuel and tolls and compare it with flight and transfer costs in the cruise parking calculator.

Miami International is another option, 30 to 45 minutes south via I-95 according to the port. That can make sense when airfare into Miami is lower, but it adds a longer ride on sailing day. The port lists ten lines, including Celebrity, Disney, Holland America, Princess, Royal Caribbean, Silversea and Viking. Its terminal page names Celebrity's Edge-class ships at Terminal 25, which had a renovation costing more than $100 million.

Phone the parking office at 954-468-3680 for rate questions, since the page shows no effective date. For comparison, PortMiami prices parking by garage, and Port Canaveral uses one flat daily fee.
