Where these numbers come from

PortMiami splits its cruise parking between the north side (terminals AA, A, B, C, D, E, F, G and V) and the south side (terminal J, with Garages J and K). Unlike ports with a single price, the amount you pay depends on your terminal's garage. The published long-term rates are $25 a day in Garages C, D, F and G and on Surface Lot E, and $35 a day in Garage AA and in Garage B.

Two garages follow their own rules. Garage A serves Royal Caribbean and is priced through that line's parking site, so the port page gives no dollar figure. Garage B serves Norwegian at $35 per space per day, a rate the port lists as effective January 1, 2025. Garages J and K had no rate on the port page when we checked, so confirm those with the port or your cruise line before relying on a number.

Here is a worked example for a 7-night cruise. At $25 a day, seven days cost 7 x $25 = $175, and eight days, if your parking spans eight calendar days, cost 8 x $25 = $200. At $35 a day the same stays cost $245 and $280. Choosing a $25 garage over a $35 garage saves $70 on seven days, which is more than many shuttles cost.

The short-term rates, $10 a day in the C to G group and $20 at Garage AA, are labeled no overnight. They are for people dropping off or visiting, not for cruise passengers who leave a car for a week. Do not plan a cruise around them. The port page also lists a crew rate of $50 a week, which is not open to passengers.

Miami is one of the busiest cruise ports, and its page lists 27 lines, including Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America, MSC, Norwegian, Princess, Royal Caribbean and Virgin Voyages. The port states that most lines offer shuttle service from the airport, but it gives no mileage or drive time to Miami International. We leave those figures blank rather than estimate them. If you fly in, ask your line about a transfer package.

Compare your garage price with the cost of a ride and a hotel night using the cruise parking calculator. For a lower flat fee see Port Canaveral, and for another Florida port priced by the day see Fort Lauderdale.

Frequently asked questions

How much is cruise parking at PortMiami?

Long-term rates are $25 a day in Garages C, D, F, G and Lot E, and $35 a day in Garage AA and Garage B. Garage A is priced by Royal Caribbean.

Can I use the short-term rate for a week-long cruise?

No. The $10 and $20 short-term rates are labeled no overnight, so they do not cover a car left for the length of a cruise.

How far is Miami International Airport from PortMiami?

The port pages we opened give no distance or drive time. They say most cruise lines offer airport shuttle service to the port.
