Where these numbers come from

Cape Liberty sits on the Bayonne peninsula across the harbor from Manhattan. The terminal garage charges $35 per day for a standard car or SUV, and the price already includes taxes and fees. RVs and mini buses pay $70, and full-size buses pay $105. The figures were checked on the dates published by the guide we read, in August 2026.

The garage works on automated, contactless parking run with a mobile app. You can register before you arrive or scan a code at the entry. Payment is taken when you leave, by credit card only. Reservations are not currently required, but the operator's system asks you to register either way.

Do the math before you drive. A seven-day stay at $35 is 7 x $35 = $245. If the garage bills eight calendar days, it is $280. The off-site lot at 100 Chosin Few Way lists $24.99 a day with a free shuttle, so seven days is $174.93, a saving of about $70 on the lower count. You trade that for shuttle waits at both ends.

Watch the peak-season rule. The operator says that during peak season the covered garage is held for guests with handicap placards. Everyone else uses overflow lots, reached by a free shuttle of about three minutes. The garage also has a 7-foot-4-inch height limit, so tall vans should plan for the overflow lots or the off-site option.

The garage sits 750 feet from the terminal, which explains part of the premium over off-site lots. A family driving from Pennsylvania or Connecticut should weigh the tolls, fuel and a $245 week of parking against a one-way rental or a car service.

Newark Liberty is the nearest major airport, about 9 miles away. One guide puts the drive at 25 to 35 minutes, and notes rush-hour traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike can stretch that time. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are the lines that guide lists for this terminal.

For the total trip, use the cruise parking calculator or the cruise cost calculator. If you would rather not drive, see the taxi fares at Manhattan or the flat fee at Port Canaveral.
