Where these numbers come from

New Orleans is the one port in this group that sells cruise parking by the trip length instead of by the day. Port NOLA lists flat prices for common stays: $120 for four days, $135 for five, $160 for six, $180 for seven, $200 for eight and $350 for fourteen. Those prices apply without a reservation. With a reservation the page lists a $1 per day convenience fee, and it does not say whether that fee is added to the stay price, so confirm at checkout.

Two covered garages serve cruise guests. The Erato Street garage has more than 1,000 spaces and serves Carnival. The 100 Poydras garage has more than 500 spaces and serves Norwegian and Royal Caribbean, which use the Julia Street terminal. The second garage lists only 4, 5 and 7 day prices, so a six or eight day trip there needs a call to the port.

Height limits matter. Erato Street allows 8 ft 4 in on a limited third floor and 7 ft 6 in on higher floors. The 100 Poydras garage allows only 6 ft 6 in, so a tall SUV, van or truck with a roof rack may not fit. Check your vehicle's height before choosing a garage or booking a line whose ships use 100 Poydras.

For a worked example, a 7-night cruise parks for $180, which is about $25.71 per day. If you add a reservation with the $1 per day fee and it is charged on top, that is 7 x $1 = $7 more, or $187. Fourteen days at $350 is $25 per day, so longer trips earn a small discount. Compared with PortMiami at $25 or $35 per day, New Orleans sits at the low end of the range.

Viking and American Cruise Lines also sail here, but the port says it has no port parking for them. If you sail with either line, you will need a private lot or a different way in. The port also notes free parking of up to seven days, beginning August 1, 2025, for qualified Louisiana disabled veterans.

The pages we opened give no airport distance or drive time for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International, so we show none. For the parking math use the cruise parking calculator. Compare a flat-fee port such as Port Canaveral or a per-night port such as Manhattan.
