Where these numbers come from

Disney is the odd one out among the major lines: it does not sell an unlimited alcohol package. The official drinks answer says soft drinks at meals and at beverage stations are in the fare, while bar drinks, beer, wine and bottled water cost extra. So the usual package break-even question becomes a simpler one of what your bar tab will be.

A secondary guide with December 2025 prices shows beer at $7.75 to $8.25, cocktails at $12 to $15 and wine by the glass at $10 to $15 or more. Add the automatic 18%. A couple who order two cocktails and two beers a day at about $13 and $8 pays 2 x (13 + 8) = $42, plus $7.56, or $49.56 per day. Over 7 nights, that is $346.92. Test your own order in the drink package calculator.

Disney does sell bundles rather than a package. A secondary source lists six beers for the price of five at about $36.25, and wine bundles of 3, 4, 5 or 7 bottles from $112 to $353. These help a wine-with-dinner couple more than a bar-hopper, and prices can change. Check the onboard menu before you rely on any figure.

Alcohol rules depend on the departure. The standard drinking age is 21 with photo ID. Round-trip Singapore departures allow guests 18 and over to drink. On round-trip European departures, a parent or guardian may sign a consent form so an 18 to 20 year old can drink under adult supervision. Guests cannot buy or pass alcohol to others, and Disney can refuse service.

You can bring your own, within limits. Guests 21 or older (18 on round-trip Singapore sailings) may carry one unopened bottle of wine or sparkling wine up to 750 ml, or six beers of 12 ounces or less, per stateroom, in carry-on bags. Wine opened in a dining room carries a $20 corkage fee. Alcohol bought in ports is held until the last night.

Who benefits from skipping a package? Families, light drinkers and anyone who would drink more soda than alcohol, since soda is free at meals. Heavy drinkers may find Disney costs more per drink than a package line. See the Disney gratuity page, the Disney overview and the cruise vs all-inclusive calculator for comparisons.
