Where these numbers come from

Celebrity sells three packages: Classic, Premium and Non-Alcoholic. The line's own pages list what each covers but not a daily price, because prices change by ship, itinerary, length and date. The dollar ranges here come from two dated secondary sources, which disagree slightly, so treat them as estimates and confirm in the Cruise Planner.

Classic covers beer, spirits, cocktails, liqueurs, frozen drinks and wine by the glass up to $12 a serving, plus 15% off bottles of wine. Premium keeps those and raises the ceiling to $19, which opens up better pours. It adds craft beer and specialty coffee and takes 20% off bottles. Non-Alcoholic covers premium water, specialty coffee, smoothies, energy drinks, iced tea and mocktails.

Break-even math starts with the charge. A 20% gratuity is added at checkout, so a $70 Classic package is really $84 per day. If bar drinks cost around $12 each, the package pays for itself at seven drinks a day. A 7-night couple would pay 2 x 7 x $84 = $1,176. The drink package calculator can test your own drinking pattern.

Drinks over the cap are not refused. The FAQ gives the example of a $14 drink on Classic: you pay the $2 above the cap plus 20% on it. The package has no daily limit, but you can order only one drink at a time, and it cannot be shared. Every adult in the stateroom must buy the same alcoholic package, apart from medical cases, which can take the zero-proof version.

Timing matters too. You can buy up to 48 hours before sailing through the Cruise Planner or on board on the first day, and cancellations are allowed until two days before. Pre-cruise sale prices are usually lower than onboard prices, but the sale ranges swing widely. Teens from 13 to 20 on US departures receive the zero-proof package free.

Who benefits? Steady drinkers, and anyone who likes premium pours above the $12 mark. Light drinkers often do better paying per drink. Compare with the cost of daily service charges in the Celebrity gratuity page, the Celebrity overview, or the cruise vs all-inclusive calculator.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the Celebrity Classic drink package?

Celebrity publishes no fixed price. A March 2026 secondary guide gave about $55 to $85 per person per day before the 20% charge, depending on ship and date.

Is gratuity included in the Celebrity drink package?

No. The official FAQ says a 20% gratuity is added to Classic, Premium and Non-Alcoholic package prices at checkout.

Does everyone in my cabin need a package?

All guests of legal drinking age in the same stateroom must buy the same alcoholic package. Children 12 and under are not required to, and medical exceptions use the zero-proof package.
