Where these numbers come from

San Antonio International Airport is raising most of its parking prices on November 1, 2026. The figures on this page come from a news report dated August 28, 2026, in which the airport's aviation director described the changes. We could not open the airport's own rate page, so treat this as a dated, secondary source. The airport says it has not raised these fees since 2022.

Here is what the report confirms. Daily short-term parking goes from $29 to $30, and daily long-term parking goes from $16 to $20. Hourly long-term parking goes from $4 to $5. Hourly short-term rates do not change. Valet, listed at $15 to $33 a day, moves to a $20 to $33 range. The report says economy lot charges of $3 to $10 per hour stay the same.

Here is what is not confirmed. The report gives no flat daily economy rate, so the economy figure in our data is left empty. It does not describe shuttle service or any daily cap, and it does not say which lot has which price. Because the economy lot is quoted per hour, a long stay there may cost more or less than long-term parking depending on the cap. Check the airport's own page for that detail.

The arithmetic is simple. A week in long-term parking costs 7 x $16 = $112 now, and 7 x $20 = $140 after November 1. That is a $28 increase, or 25 percent. A week in short-term costs $203 now and $210 after the change, a rise of just $7. The gap between the two lots is $91 a week now and $70 after the change, so the long-term lot is still the cheaper place for a long absence.

If you travel around the change date, count the days on each side. A trip that leaves October 28 and returns November 4 would pay the old rate on some days only if the airport prorates by day, and the report does not say how it handles that. Plan for the higher rate to be safe. Two weeks in long-term from November 1 is 14 x $20 = $280. Compare that with rideshare fares in the airport parking on-site vs off-site calculator.

The airport says it is putting the new revenue toward a capital program that includes a new parking garage. That suggests rates may keep moving as construction proceeds. For other Texas airports, see the Dallas/Fort Worth parking page and the Austin parking page.
