Breeze Airways Baggage Rules: Carry-On, Personal Item and Bag Fees

Where these numbers come from

Breeze sells three fare bundles, and the bag rules depend on which one you buy. The lowest, Nice, includes only a personal item of 17 x 13 x 8 inches that fits under the seat. Nicer adds a carry-on and one checked bag, and Nicest includes a carry-on and two checked bags. Because the airline prices bags by route and by date, the dollar figures below are ranges, not one fixed tariff.

Bag prices were the hard part of this page, because third-party guides disagreed. Breeze's own bag pricing page loads its numbers with JavaScript, and our reader could not see them. We therefore compared four guides dated between May and June 2026. Three agree on a carry-on near $35, a first bag from $35 to $41 and a second bag from $45 to $55. One guide reports higher numbers ($40, $50 and $60) and a flat $75 weight charge. We used the majority and treat the higher figures as possible peak-date prices.

The carry-on size also varies by guide. Three sources list 22 x 14 x 9 inches and 35 pounds, including handles and wheels. One lists 24 x 14 x 10 inches. Pack to the smaller box, since a bag that passes the smaller limit passes both. The 35-pound weight cap is unusual among U.S. airlines, most of which publish none, so weigh a packed bag at home.

Here is a worked example. Two friends fly round trip on Nice fares, each with a carry-on and one checked bag booked online. Using the low-end figures, each person pays $35 for the carry-on and $35 for the checked bag in each direction, or $140 per person and $280 in total. If they wait until the airport, the same two checked bags cost about $75 each way per bag, which is $300 for bags alone. Buying a bundle with bags included can be cheaper, so price both.

Weight and size charges are modest compared with legacy carriers. A 55-pound bag adds $20 and a 75-pound bag adds $50, and a bag of 70 linear inches adds $50. Nothing over 99 pounds or 80 linear inches is accepted. That $20 first tier makes Breeze one of the cheaper places to be a few pounds over, but repacking to 50 pounds is still free.
