Where these numbers come from

Pittsburgh is the only airport in this batch that publishes both a drive-up and a prebooked price. On 2026-09-30 the airport listed $12 a day at the Shuttle Lot, $28 at the Terminal Lot and $38 in the Terminal Garage for drive-up customers, and lower prebooked rates of as low as $8, $18 and $28. The page also notes that all rates exclude 11.5 percent in taxes.

Seven days at drive-up rates costs 7 x $12 = $84 in the Shuttle Lot, 7 x $28 = $196 in the Terminal Lot and 7 x $38 = $266 in the garage. Add the 11.5 percent tax and the garage week becomes $266 x 1.115 = about $296.59. Fourteen days is $168, $392 and $532 before tax. Those are the most expensive garage figures of any airport here.

Prebooking changes the math. Seven days prebooked is 7 x $8 = $56 (Shuttle Lot), 7 x $18 = $126 (Terminal Lot) or 7 x $28 = $196 (garage). The prebooked garage week is $70 less than the drive-up week. For 14 days the prebooked totals are $112, $252 and $392, saving $56, $140 and $140 over drive-up. The airport says the discounted rates are the lowest available, so real rates on a given date can be higher.

A tax-inclusive comparison makes the choice clearer. Terminal Lot prebooked for 7 days is 7 x $18 = $126, and with 11.5 percent tax it becomes $126 x 1.115 = about $140.49. The Shuttle Lot prebooked for 7 days is 7 x $8 = $56, or about $62.44 with tax. The $78.05 gap is what a ten-minute ride costs you over a week.

A few rules are worth knowing. The Terminal Lot is cheaper than the garage by $10 per day but has the same 3 to 5 minute walk, so the garage premium buys little beyond cover. PIT Executive parking starts at $35 a day and only with a reservation. A free wait lot gives one hour at no charge, but it is a holding lot with no terminal access, so it is not for travelers.

Use the airport parking on-site vs off-site calculator to compare these rates with a private lot. For a neighboring airport with no prebooking, see Cleveland. For a cheaper shuttle-lot benchmark, see Milwaukee.
